Syndicate - Bird Watching

Morne Diablotin National Park - Its highest peak is 4,747 the second highest in the Lesser Antilles. It is also home to the imperial Parrot (the Sisserou) the world’s largest Amazon parrot and the Red-Neck Parrot called the Jaco.

Nearby Syndicate Falls or Milton Falls as commonly known is just a short hike and the perfect picnic spot to take a refreshing bathe and enjoy a traditionally prepared packed lunch.

Snorkeling

One of Dominica’s premier snorkeling sites looks like a glass of Champagne. The geo-thermal vents pump hot fresh water and air bubbles from the sea-bed. Champagne is a unique snorkel site... it's a large granite reef 100 meters off-shore, cloaked in sponges, anemones and crinoids. It's teeming with tropical fish including, Black Bar Soldier Fish, Squirrel Fish trumpet fish, porcupine fish and abundance of both invertebrate like pederson shrimp, arrow crabs, banded shrimp and squid.

Carib Territory – Barama aute

The Kalinago Barana Auté is located in the Carib Territory and situated close to the sea. The site is built on 4.2 acres of land and includes; Administration and Interpretation Centre, a Craft Shop, Demonstration Buildings, a Snackette, and a Karbet. The site has a waterfall and a river flowing through it with a series of trails running through it.

The Boiling Lake

If you need a challenging adventure, the Boiling Lake and Valley of Desolation just what your are looking for. It takes about three to four to walk one way. This expedition requires a full day. The lake is made up of sulphur springs boiling water, pools of gray boiling mud and streams made multi-coloured by the minerals contained in the water from the old volcanic activity.
